The first step in telling what matters
YOU DON’T HAVE TO CAPTURE YOUR WHOLE LIFE ALL AT ONCE

Imagine your children or grandchildren discovering your family's story as they read every page.
You just need a quiet moment, a photo that stirs something inside, and the right space to begin.

The Stories in the Making workshop is an in-person experience that offers time and space to sort through your photos, reflect on the stories that matter, and begin preserving them, for now, and for the future.

This is your chance to create something deeply meaningful: a way to share your story with loved ones today, and to pass it on to future generations.

Because your story matters. And it deserves to be remembered, not just in photos, but in your own voice.

Why this matters
Photos can show us what happened, but stories tell us why it mattered.
They carry more than moments, they hold meaning, emotion, and the echoes of who we’ve become because of what we’ve lived.

By preserving your stories now, you’re creating something to be shared, not just in the future, but today. Something that invites deeper connection with your family, your friends, your community. These pages can open conversations you’ve never had, offer insight into parts of you they’ve never seen, and help others feel more connected to their own roots.

Whether you’re capturing your own memories or helping a parent or grandparent share theirs, this is an opportunity to preserve the experiences, lessons, and wisdom that would otherwise remain unspoken.
Because the time to remember isn’t “one day.”

It’s now, because our recollection of memories fades as the years pass. It also allows those you love to connect more deeply with you today, and carry your story with them in the years to come.

What to bring:
-
An amount of photos you think you can realistically sort in a few hours, but no more than a shoe box if you are bringing a physical photos
-
These could be around one theme, or time in your life, like childhood, a special trip

A gift of connection
Every story you preserve becomes a thread that ties your family closer, across years, across generations, across lives.

This isn’t just about looking back. It’s about sharing who you are now, what you felt, what you lived through, what you learnt. It’s about honouring the people who shaped you, and sharing that meaning with those around you.

And one day, when someone younger asks about who you were, you’ll have something real to share, not just a photo, but your story that they can read.
